Zhengzhou Research Institute of HIT and HIT Industry-Education Integration Talent Training Base (Zhengzhou) is a new type of R&D institution with comprehensive functions jointly established by Harbin Institute of Technology, the People’s Government of Henan Province and Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government based on strategic development needs, to implement the national innovation-driven development strategy, focus on regional industrial characteristics, and serve economic development needs. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTSFOR POSITIONS

Positions for High-Level Talents

1.Leading talents:

Candidates should have achieved internationally recognized high-level original research achievements in cutting-edge academic fieldsand been selected for the National High-Level Talent Program, key contributors to the National-Level Science and Technology First-Class Prize, directors of National-Level Research Platforms,team leaders/chief scientists for National-Level Major Projects,and talents with equivalent qualifications.Applicants are generally expected to be 50 years of age or younger.

2. Outstanding Talents:

Candidates should have demonstrated strong potentials for innovative development with global academic perspectives and been selected for the National-Level Youth Talent Program, key contributors to the National Science and Technology Second-Class Prize, senior leadership for National-Level Research Platforms,team leaders/chief scientists for National-Level Key Projects, and talents with equivalent qualifications.Applicants are generally expected to be 40 years of age or younger.

3. Exceptional Talents:

Candidates should maintain an academic standing ranksamong the top of their peers in the same field and age cohort. This specifically refers to those who were shortlisted for the final interview stage of National Youth Talent Programs but were not ultimately selected, or those who have demonstrated the clear potential to be serious contenders for such programs in the near future. Applicants are generally expected to be 35 years of age or younger.

Positions for Researchers

1. Special-Term Researchers:

Candidates should maintain an academic standing ranksamong the top of their peers in the same field and age cohort. This specifically refers to the Principal Investigators of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Programs or Higher-level Programs, and the Lead Principal Investigators of a sub-project or topic within the National Key R&D Program or National Science and Technology Major Projects. Applicants are generally expected to be 45 years of age or younger.

2. Regular Researchers:

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. from leading universities or research institutions, either in China or abroad. The ideal candidates must demonstrate a strong sense of academic integrity and the ability to conduct research independently and can be evidenced by a record of representative research achievements. Their academic standing should, in principle, meet or be approaching the standard required for equivalent positions within the relevant discipline at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT). Furthermore, candidates are expected to possess a clear and well-considered long-term plan for their proposed research agenda. Applicants are generally expected to be 40 years of age or younger.  

3. Special-Term AssociateResearchers

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. from well-known Chinese or foreign universities with the potential to be appointed as researchers or above within 1-2 terms of employment. Applicants are generally expected to be 35 years of age or younger.

4. Regular Associate Researchers:

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. from well-known Chinese or foreign universities. The ideal candidates must demonstrate a strong sense of academic integrity and the ability to conduct research independently and can be evidenced by a record of representative research achievements. Their academic standing should, in principle, meet or be approaching the standard required for equivalent positions within the relevant discipline at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT). Applicants are generally expected to be 32 years of age or younger.

Postdoctoral Positions

Candidates should be recent Ph.D. graduates (within three yearsof graduation) from leading universities or research institutions, either in China or abroad. Candidates should have a record of research achievements, demonstrated academic potential for excellence, and the capability to conduct independent research. Applicants are generally expected to be 35 years of age or younger. Postdoctoral fellows are required to work full-time on their research during the appointment.
