Zhengzhou Advanced Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as Zhengzhou Advanced Research Institute) is a regional comprehensive research institute jointly established by Harbin Institute of Technology and Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government based on their strategic development needs. As the Bridgehead and Hub Station of Harbin Institute of Technology in the Central China, as well as a demonstration site for the integrated development of education, technology, and talent in Zhengzhou City, Zhengzhou Advanced Research Institute adheres to the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches during his inspection in Henan and the spirit of his congratulatory letter to HIT on its 100th anniversary. As of March 2026, Zhengzhou Advanced Research Institute has cultivated over 2,400 master's and doctoral students, with a 100% employment rate for its first graduating class. It has established a high-quality research team of over 200 members, led by national-level talents, including nearly 30 national-level talents and over 50 provincial/ministerial-level talents. It has been approved for nearly 20 national, provincial, and ministerial-level innovation platforms, including Henan Province's First Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has received honors such as the Special Prize and First Prize for Henan Province Scientific and Technological Progress Award . It has been recognized as a provincial-level technology transfer demonstration institution and one of Zhengzhou's first concept validation pilot units. It has incubated over 60 technology-based enterprises, fostering a national high-tech enterprise with a valuation of 800 million Yuan. It also leads and serves as the Chairperson Unit of the Henan Provincial Technology Managers Association, where 100% of its administrative staff have obtained technology manager certification……Through these achievements, the Institute contributes to the high-quality university-local development.
