Over 100 Chinese and International Experts Gather! ZARI Hosts the International School on Hybrid, Organic and Perovskite Photovoltaics 2025

(Text: Jia Zhenjian)From November 17 to 20, the International School on Hybrid,  Organic and Perovskite Photovoltaics 2025 (HOPE-PV 2025) was successfully held at the Institute. The conference was organized by our Institute, and co-organized by the Henan Science and Technology Exchange Center and Henan Hazheng Tongxin Incubator Co., Ltd., which was one of the key events in Henan Province's “International Exchange of Professionals” series. The conference brought together over 100 top experts and scholars from 15 countries and regions, including Switzerland, Russia, and Italy, representing more than 40 renowned domestic and international universities and research institutions.

Attending scholars and experts included Professor Tsutomu Miyasaka, inventor of the perovskite solar cell, Professor Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin, academician at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Dr. Aldo Di Carlo, Director of the Institute of Structure of Matter (ISM) at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), Professor Sergey Ponomarenko, Director of the Enikolopov Institute of Synthetic Polymeric Materials of the Russian Academy of Sciences, researchers Troshin Pavel and Professor Weixing Zhou from our Institute of Advanced Energy and Power Technology, Professor Wei Chen from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Professor Xueqing Xu from the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Over the four-day session, the conference featured more than 50 high-level academic reports. At the opening ceremony, Professor Tsutomu Miyasaka and Academician Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin delivered forward-looking keynote presentations on interface molecular engineering for perovskite solar cells and modular technology for highly efficient and stable devices, respectively. Multiple thematic forums were held, deeply focusing on frontier directions such as Perovskite Technology from Lab to Fab, Photovoltaic Technology for Space Applications, Advances in Organic Photovoltaics, and Novel Interfacial Materials, where scholars shared their latest research breakthroughs.

During their stay in Zhengzhou, the attending Chinese and international experts were invited to visit the Zhongyuan Science and Technology City Investment Promotion Center, as well as our Institute's science and technology exhibition hall and related laboratories. They gained a comprehensive understanding of the industrial layout, innovation ecosystem, and talent policies of Zhengzhou and Zhongyuan Science and Technology City, and gained in-depth insights into our Institute's research layout, innovation platform construction, and progress in thecommercialization of scientific and technological achievements in key technological fields.

As a concrete practice of our Institute's efforts in building Zhengzhou City International Talent Community and creating a high-level international science and innovation center, this conference not only provided a high-end exchange platform for scholars in the global perovskite photovoltaic field but will also promote regional technological innovation breakthroughs and the aggregation of high-end talent, injecting strong new momentum into Henan's goal of becoming a national innovation highland and an important talent center.
